Peptides discovered in nature often have great promise for treating diseases like pain, autism, and addiction. Abba is interested in using computers to guide the development of natural products like peptide toxins into the starting points for drugs and research tools. Abba is currently a PhD student in Neuroscience and Computational Biology. He previously worked at D. E. Shaw Research, a New York City based biotechnology company.
